57th Place is a new home community in Longs for which there were 316 single family homes and 80 multi-family homes approved for development. As of April 2024, 236 single family homes have been platted and developed in the new home community of 57th Place. This is one of several new home communities in the Myrtle Beach area developed by D. R. Horton. Just minutes to Hwy 31 and only 6 miles to the Beach. D. R. Horton completed development was completed back in 2023.
Lennar owns the 33.42 piece of land directly adjacent to 57th Place on the south side running along Wampee Road (Highway 57) whereby an additional 80 single family homes and 80 multi-family homes have been approved for development by Horry County under the Subdivision name of 57th Place. As of April 2024, Lennar has not yet announced plans for development of this parcel.
