Timber Grove is a new home community coming soon to Longs, SC. Located at the intersection of Long Acres Drive and SC Highway 905, near Highway 9, Timber Grove offers a convenient location in the growing Longs area of the northern Grand Strand.

Long Acres Drive is a paved, two-lane Horry County-maintained road. Preliminary plans for Timber Grove call for approximately 90 single-family homes on a property consisting of four parcels totaling approximately 40.57 acres. Beazer Homes will be the builder.

Timber Grove Location & Development

Timber Grove is conveniently located near Highway 9 and SC Highway 905, providing access to the surrounding Longs area, Loris, and North Myrtle Beach. The community is also close to several relatively new home communities, including The Villages at Longs and Ivy Woods.

The property being developed as Timber Grove consists of four parcels that have been combined, totaling approximately 40.57 acres:
(1) 2.02 acres
(2) 10.84 acres
(3) 17.37 acres
(4) 10.13 acres

The development plans include a 25-foot streetscape buffer and two access points along Long Acres Drive, as well as a 35-foot streetscape buffer along SC Highway 905.
In August 2024, the process to amend the land use for the property to “Rural Communities” occurred. In May 2025, encroachment permits were obtained for each of the four parcels now part of Timber Grove. The improvements include grading, roadside ditching, and two waterline jack-and-bores.

Beazer Homes – Timber Grove

Beazer Homes will be the builder in Timber Grove. Preliminary plans call for the construction of approximately 90 single-family homes.
The timing for the development and home sales at Timber Grove has not yet been announced.
Previous Community Name: When Timber Grove was going through the approval process, the previous name for the proposed community was Amerling Ridge.

Directly next to Timber Grove is The Village at Longs, a 92-home single-family community developed by Beverly Homes. The first homes began closing in late 2022, and the community sold out in 2025.

Ivy Woods

Ivy Woods is an 82-home single-family community developed by D.R. Horton, located just off Castlers Heights Road near the Highway 905 and Highway 9 intersection.
The first single-family homes in Ivy Woods began closing in early 2024, and the community sold out in late 2025. The new homes sold from approximately $205,000 to $273,000, with an average selling price of approximately $242,000.
